By the end of the Summer, Tiersen had recorded over forty tracks, which would most be used later on for his first two albums. In 2011, Tiersen collaborated with the Yellow Bird Project (YBP) to design a t-shirt, which was being sold to raise money for Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF). Some of Yann Tiersen's most popular songs include Comptine D'un Autre Été, l'après-Midi, which was featured in the Top Gear (UK) soundtruck, and Penn ar Roc'h, featured in the The Flash soundtruck. In the early 1980s, he was influenced as a teenager by the punk subculture, and bands like The Stooges and Joy Division.
